Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
This policy explains how Check-Six BBQ (checksixbbq.com), operated by Check-Six LLC ("we," "us"), handles information when you visit our site.
The Short Version
We don't ask for your name or email, we don't run accounts, and we don't sell personal information. The calculator runs entirely in your browser; the cut, weight, and times you enter are never sent to us.
Information Collected Automatically
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs when you load a page: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
Third-Party Services
To display this site, your browser loads resources from these providers, which may receive your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts for typography (Google Privacy Policy).
- Tailwind CSS CDN for page styling.
Affiliate Links & Cookies
Check-Six LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
When you click a product link on our site and arrive at Amazon, Amazon may place cookies in your browser to record that the visit came from us, so we can be credited for qualifying purchases. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details, only aggregated sales reports. Amazon's use of that data is governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the calculator works the same either way.
Emailing Us
If you email us, we'll use your address and message only to reply. We don't add you to a mailing list.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
